A scheduler built for agent jobs specifically: content-hash dedup so unchanged results never get re-delivered, and watermarks so incremental jobs pick up where they left off instead of reprocessing everything.

Why#

Plain cron runs an agent job on time, then wastes tokens reprocessing old data and spams identical summaries. cron-for-agents adds dedup and watermarking on top of ordinary scheduling.

How it works#

Each job gets a watermark, passed to the job as $CFA_WATERMARK, and a content-hash dedup window, both persisted to a single .cfa/state.json file so a restart cannot erase them. Jobs are plain YAML, any shell command. cfa add creates a job, cfa list shows state, cfa run tests it, cfa daemon runs the scheduler. Delivery to Telegram, WhatsApp or email is the next piece to land.

Status#

v0.x. Scheduling and state management work today; channel delivery is targeted for v0.2.
